Ladies night out

We had a great time going out this past weekend to the Wine bar to congratulate Melissa on getting her teaching certification and on her new teaching position she will be starting this week. Congratulations Melissa! And for some of you, this may be the first picture you see of me since I chopped my hair. I decided to get it A-lined.

Tikes T-ball

Tomorrow is Charlie's last t-ball game of the season. Nate is helping coach the team this year. Charlie has improved so much and has had a great time! This will be his last year of tikes t-ball and next year Cooper and him will both be on the Genesee team together. YAY!

Playing first base.

Emma enjoyed helping daddy coach.

Their team name is the "Puppy Dogs."

They enjoyed playing on the playground before all the games and sometimes after.

Alice In Wonderland

This week Charlie gets the special opportunity to announce, "Alice in Wonderland" at the Lewiston Civic Theater. Tonight was rehearsal. He had a great time and did a really good job. He had his lines memorized in just a couple of hours. We even got to watch the show after. He will announce the shows Friday-Sunday. He loved hanging out with the cast in the "Green Room" before the show started. He felt like he was part of the group. They had cast call about 15 minutes before the show started. They did breathing exercises, shake their bodies, yell, talk about the show and things they need to know. It was great! Nate tried to get a video, but it was way too dark.

Posing before we go in.

All three children. Coop had a hard time tonight because it was all about Charlie.

The director talking to Charlie before the rehearsal began.

After the director spoke, it was Charlie's turn. There were a lot of people there.

Here is a video of Charlie practicing before tonight (Friday's) show. He is so excited!

Cast call Friday night. The director went out and talked and then introduced Charlie. He walked out into the middle of the stage and they directed him to the front middle and stepped back. Charlie said all of his lines perfectly and louder. YAY! He even got to watch a little of the show, he didn't want to leave.

Here is Charlie's final performance. At the end something happened and you will here some database announcement being updated. It is a dark video, but you can here him pretty good and he walked out all by himself again. Grandma Verla came to watch him and after we got to enjoy the show again. Tonight during our dinner prayer he said, "Thank you for Alice in Wonderland, thank you for letting me announce the show and thank you for letting me watch the show." We hope he wants to audition next summer.

Hummingbirds

This weekend we have been watching hummingbirds all over in the yard and out at Grandma Verla's farm. The boys get so excited each time one comes near us. I captured this photo yesterday.

Summer Boy Scout Outings

Cooper has been enjoying the cub scout outings this summer. Last month they went fishing and today they got a tour of the fire department. We are really excited to see what this year brings and see everything Cooper learns. If you are on facebook, please like the boys scout page, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Genesee-Boy-Scouts-of-America-Pack-312/104016626358367 to keep updated on what they are doing and learning.

Fishing at Spring Valley Reservoir

Cooper caught eight fish in 90 degree weather.

Charlie caught seven.
