Soccer Season Begins!

One of our most favorite times of the year is here!  Soccer season!  The boys both had their first game today and they did pretty awesome!  Nate is coaching Charlie's team again.  It was a lot of fun watching them today!

Ready for their first game!  During Cooper's game Emma asked us when we were going to her game.  :(  It was pretty cute!  The boys both started at her age, but I don't think there is 3 year old soccer in Lewiston.  Her first sport will be this summer playing Tikes T-ball.

 There he goes!

The Genesee Purple Team!  We have two Genesee Kindergarten teams this year again.

And a few pictures of Coop playing....

And here Coop is stopping the ball with his chest (I think) and then scoring in the end.  He made five goals today. Excited to watch these two teams play this season.

Spring is approaching!

We have had warmer days lately and have been able to enjoy some time outdoors.  The children have been awaiting warm weather.  They have had so much fun riding bikes, scooters, running, playing on the play set, and much more.  Soccer started last week and the boys have their first games next Saturday.  Cooper will be playing Cal Ripken, which also starts up here shortly.  Two sports at once, not sure how we are going to do this. :)  If there is a will there is a way.

Megan continues with her studies at LCSC.  She is enjoying that and is doing very well! Still pulling an A.  She attended a conference for EMS in Grangeville last weekend and attended some interesting classes.

Nate is coaching Charlie's soccer team and is enjoying playing old man basketball and attending bible study during the week.  He also turned 32 at the beginning of the month.

Megan got back from the EMS conference just in time to celebrate Nate's 32nd birthday!

Happy Birthday to an amazing father and husband.  Do you like the pink frosting?  :)

The boys helping put together their new hoop!  Coop especially loves playing.

Cooper reading to his sister while she plays outside. Not sure what happened to this kid.  His reading skills have taken off and he really enjoys it lately.

Building her bird house at Home Depot Day.

Painting their bird houses.  This also counted as an elective for Cooper in Cub Scouts.

Painting is so much fun!  And I think we can officially say this girl is potty trained.  She has made it all week just wearing underwear.  Yay Emma!

Yesterday was the Pinewood Derby for our Pack here in Genesee.  The boys all had a great time!  Cooper got 1st place this year and 2nd last year. He has built some pretty fast cars.  He thinks he wants to miss his soccer game this year to attend districts.  :)

Our friend Carly made some pretty amazing cookies.  Thanks Carly!

 Flag ceremony before Derby.

 The Scouts and their cars.

Love the stance as he watches his car go.

 Trophy cookies.

Coop getting his awards.

Coop is having a great time in scouts!  He received his Gold and Silver arrows last night.  He received the Gold arrow for completing 10 electives and then he received the Silver arrow for completing 10 more.

Last night was the leaders as readers event.  The boys got to ride the bus to the U of I game and we met them at the game.  They were announced and recognized at half time for their reading.  Both boys read 10 hours and received Gold!

Cooper headed out to the court.

 Charlie headed out.

 Fun game
 to watch! They won!

Here is the link to Emma riding her bike.

We hope you are all enjoying the flowers starting to bloom, the snow melt, sunshine, and the warm weather approaching.
