Rodeo Time!

We started our day off going to Sunday School and worship and then ended it at the Asotin County Fair. Goofy clowns, popcorn, laughing, cheering, and lots of animals! The kids have been asking us to go to a rodeo. It has been a few years. The weather was perfect and we had a great time! Emma was very concerned about the baby calves when they got roped. And after they got the rope off of them and were running out, she would point and say, "mama." She was telling us the baby was going to see its mom now. So cute! She is really into horses and was in her element seeing so many horses today. We walked through a few of the barns after, but there wasn't much because everyone was clearing out. Charlie was so tired he passed out on the living room floor after we got home. LOL! And Emma never napped and just kept on going until we laid her down.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

The rodeo clown was pretty funny. Charlie was down watching next to the fence by himself for a bit and the rodeo clown came up to him and laid down next to him. Charlie didn't even notice at first and once he did he gave a little smile. I asked him what they talked about and he said the clown asked how his day was. LOL!

Out little cowgirl. :) And one thing we have never seen before, a milking contest! That was interesting! Six cows and six men on their horses trying to rope the cows and milk them. Only two of them had milk. LOL!

Cub Scouts Activities

Cooper has been busy with Cub Scouts.  This past weekend the Genesee Cub Scouts were asked to present the flag at the Annual Postmaster's Meeting that was held in Genesee.  People from all over Idaho came.  It was an real honor and these boys did so well!  We were told later in the day people that were there watching had tears in their eyes.

Beautiful cookies Carly made for the event!

Last Friday the Cub Scouts got to go on an outing to Ferdinand's Ice Cream Shoppe.  They got to see videos on how they make cheese and ice cream.  We got to sample cheese and got huge ice cream cones. Yum!  It was a lot of fun!  A couple of the cub scouts spent the day with us.  We went to Rainey Park, to see the bears, the outing and then to McDondald's!  It was a fun-filled day.  To finish it off Cooper had his birthday party with his classmates.

The babies were so darn cute!

Yum!

Charlie's soccer season has started!

After a week of games being canceled, Charlie got to play in his first game of the season last night.  He had a great time!  It was so fun to watch!  What a difference from last season to this season. He hardly would get in there to get the ball and this year he gets right in the middle and goes after that ball.  He scored four goals!  He is already good buddies with the new friends he has met on his team.  I think he is going to have a great season!

Coop's Soccer Season

Cooper's soccer season has just ended and we are onto watching Charlie now.  In a way it is nice having them in separate leagues.  Cooper and his team played so well this year.  He has been playing with the same kids for a couple years now and they have the hang of it.  They know what is going on and are starting to work more as a team rather than independently.  Enjoy the pictures!

Jesus Christ is risen today, Alleluia!

This song has been is my head all day!  What a wonderful day to celebrate Jesus' sacrifice for all of us.  We were up and out of the house by 7:15 this morning.  We worshiped, had brunch with our church family, and then the kids had an egg hunt.  The kids all sang,"Run come See the Rock a'Rolling". Coop and Charlie got right up and sang and did all the hand movements.  So much fun and the weather was beautiful!

Pictures on the deck before we left.

 Easter egg hunt at church!

The Easter Bunny came while we were at church.  Coop wanted to know if anyone in Genesee saw the Easter bunny come. LOL!

Styling!  She loves Pooh! So she got Winnie the Pooh sunglasses.

 Dying eggs!

They were very colorful!  We were going to finish putting the stickers on them later after they dried, but the kids didn't want to stop playing outside. :)

We spent most of the day outside, dyed eggs, and took a family nap for 3 hours.  Had Zucchini cheese chowder for dinner, sourdough bread, and fruit!  Yum!  And finished the evening playing a little basketball up at the school.

Happy Easter to you all!

Fun in Boise!

Napping on the way to Boise.

One day we went to Ann Morrison park for a picnic and to play.  They had a blast!

And the one day with 69 degree weather we decided to go to the zoo.  It was a little chilly though in the morning, but we all ended up with sun burns by the end of the day.

We loved the giraffes!  Emma was enthralled with all the animals!

Charlie was the only one who would feed the goats.

Stinky Monkeys!
The bears were under construction which was a bummer, but we had a good time!

And today we went to the Boise Aquarium!  The kids loved it!

We fed the fish and got to touch them.

 The seahorses were sooo cute!

Baby sharks.  We tried to look for eggs, but didn't see any.

We saw rainbow lory birds and yellow breasted lory birds.  They were beautiful!

Took us a while to notice this guy.  We were feeding the fish and finally noticed it.

The kids had fun feeling the starfish and other creatures in here.  A waterfall of water would also flow once it got full.

The Rays were the highlight of our trip here.  Emma cried at first, but then was okay.  They are slimy!

Tomorrow we will head home and hope the storm has passed.  We can't wait to see Nate!

And a wonderful surprise to come home to:

The left side was all painted polar bear white a couple years ago when the addition was added on.  The right side was all a cream color and really needed painted.  Thank you hun!

Drive home went well.  A little stop coming out of Riggens.  Mom got pulled over. Oops.  When the police officer came up to the window Charlie asked, "Are we going to jail?"  LOL!  He let me off.  :)

Back to winter as we drove into Genesee.

 So good to be home!
