Fun around the Owen House!

We just enjoyed a nice week long visit with Nate's mom. The kids had fun. Charlie showed off some of his dancing for Nanni. See the video below. We took Nanni to Bulldog Bingo and Coop was so excited that he got a Bingo. Him and three others tied for the Silverwood package and he ended up not getting it in the end. He still received a prize. Visits with Uncles, Aunts, Grandma Verla and cousins out at the farm were fun. Nate and I also got a night out. We went out for dinner at the Broiler. Thanks Nanni for coming to visit.

Megan turned 29 this weekend. We spent the day watching the boys play soccer. Later that afternoon the boys made fajitas and German chocolate cake. Both were delicious. Thanks to Jean and Greg for the afternoon at the salon, mom and dad for all the gifts they sent, and all the birthday wishes from friends and family.

Charlie showing off his moves. Emma can climb the stairs now. She loves to go up them any chance she can get.

Nanni picked Cooper up one day from school. Grandma's love to take pictures. :)

Emma showing a few of her moves and drumming.

Emma loves to climb in and out of these. She also enjoys a ride when the boys are around.

Enjoying the sunshine.

Nate's first attempt at baking a cake. It turned out wonderfully.

Meggs and the boys.

The next musician in the Owen family. She loves to play that piano.

Precious moments!

I love moments like this one. Charlie went without a nap all day. He played hard outside and came into rest with a movie in the later afternoon. I was out shopping and Nate told me that the boys didn't take naps. I get a text a little while after that, with this picture telling me, "I guess he did nap." So sweet! He doesn't look that comfortable though. :) Nate put Emma's blanket over him.

The BIG 30!

Nate turned 30 this month. He said he feels older. We celebrated by giving him a couple of gifts in the morning after we woke up and home made cards from the boys. For his birthday dinner, he requested his rooster to be cooked in the crock pot. He was the only one eating his birthday dinner. I could not eat something that was a family pet. We made him a cake with lots of sprinkles. The kids had fun celebrating. Happy 30th dad! We love you!

Charlie's birthday card he made for dad.

Cooper's birthday card he made for dad.

And a few other photos:

Standing in a hot air balloon basket at Brew Fest.

There was supposed to be a night glow, which didn't happen. I was dissapointed, but Nate enjoyed the beer.

Emmy's new toy. She loves the boys pushing her around the house on this.

Getting stuck in the bathroom cupboard.

Playing ball with dad. So much fun!

Swimming

The boys just finished up with swimming lessons. We are very proud of them. They have done so well. Charlie will stay in PS Turtle and Cooper will advance to the bigger, not as warm pool and be in Regular Turtle. The classes will be longer and he will get more out of it. He isn't looking forward to it. He liked the warmer pool. It was fun watching the boys be in the same class. Now a couple weeks off and then Charlie will start soccer. Thankfully there are signs that Spring is on its way. It is warming up and the snow is melting. Cooper will start soccer next month. Bring on the warmer weather.
