Spring Break is Here!!

Spring Break is finally here!  Coop had the day off from school.  Nate is out of town with Dave at the distillery school for a couple days having a great time and getting hands on experience.  Mom and I took Charlie to school this morning.  While Charlie was at school Coop got a haircut and we did a little shopping.  The kids all got to participate in the Easter Egg hunt at Charlie's school which was a lot of fun!

Coop got to get his hair washed in the big chair for the first time! His hair is so short, but looks nice!

Charlie had a bag full of eggs!

 So did Coop!

She found one!  She wasn't too sure what to do, but caught on fast.

After school we took the kids ice skating!  It was a lot of fun!  It has been years since I have been ice skating.  I don't even remember because the last time we went was a couple years ago when I was pregnant with Emma and Nate skated.  I've still got it!  LOL!

It took a little bit to get going, but then they were off.

Cooper received a free ice skating ticket because he showed pride at school and was chosen out of a hat. We are proud of him!  This is the last week the ice skating rink is open and we thought today was a perfect day to use it!

And about halfway through they were brave enough to go without the walkers. :) Emma enjoyed watching us skate!

I had to throw in a picture of perogies!  Mom made these earlier this week! Yum!

The kids and I are headed to Boise for a week.   Wish Nate could come with us. :( The kids are pretty excited!

Happy 30th Meggs!

Megan turned 30 years old this week!  We celebrated as a family the day before by having a family day and going out to lunch after church.  The kids loved it!  It has been so long since we have been out to a sit down restaurant so it was a very nice treat.

Mmmmmm.....She downed this in about 5 minutes.

I got a Ninja and The Sound of Music Soundtrack from my family!  As well as a few pieces of artwork! :)

We spent the evening with Megan's mom, Sheila (a friend of the family), Aunt Debby and Grandma Verla!

Happy 30th to me!

Charlie is riding without training wheels!

YAY!  Charlie has been practicing to ride his bike without training wheels.  He was able to go alone and just needed a little help getting started because he is so short.  Today, we decided to borrow back the old bike we used to have so he could get going on his own. Sure enough he can do it!  A little wobbly getting going, but he can go all by himself.  He is so excited!

And after soccer we decided to go get some new baby chicks......

White Leghorn Pullet's.  We usually get the Rhode Island Reds because they lay so good.  They said these will lay 280/year.

They are light yellow with a black dot on the top of their head.

They are so cute!  We have missed getting fresh eggs since we gave away our chickens last October.  We are only starting with two this time.  :)

Coop's soccer season

Coop's soccer season has started.  Practices in the snow and rain.  The kids love it!  He had so much fun playing in his first game this last Saturday.  He had his shin guards on first thing.  He continuously asked us, "How much longer?"  We love how much this kids enjoys playing this sport!  Here are a few pictures from his first game.

We went to see Grandma Verla before Coop's game.

Coop warming up for his first game of the season.  He had a great game!  The kids have been playing together now a couple season and know what they are doing.  Coop scored four goals for his team.  Charlie's season starts in mid April.

 Go Bulldog's!

A few pictures from the past week

Our caterpillars came!  We are all excited to watch this amazing process again!  The caterpillars have grown so much in just a few days and have started molting.

Emma loves her baby and wanted to bring her on some car rides this week!

New rain boots that the Nuzzo's got Emma in Hawaii.  These are the best boots ever.  The boys had them when they were younger and loved them! And she can put them on herself. :)

Tuesday, while I was at my Beth Moore Bible Study, Nate and the kids made pickles out of many cucumbers that we had.  We hope to try them out around Cooper's Birthday next month.  Nate also made some mango salsa.  Tastes pretty good!

Charlie playing some music at preschool!

Emma got my tweezers and took them over to her baby to clip her nails. Hehe!

And she is ready to go! Styling!

 Second day of Spring!

Pinewood Derby

Cooper had his first Pinewood Derby last night in Cub Scouts.  He had a great time!  His car was pretty fast.  We were a little worried because his wheel fell off twice before the race began, but happened to stay on through the event.  He received 2nd place in the event.  He qualified to go on to Districts which is this coming Saturday, but he also has a soccer game.  He decided to go to the soccer game.  I know he would have enjoyed going.  He has some great scout friends who will be going in his place to race for our Pack.

Cooper's first Trophy!  He made a little corner in his room for his special award.

 Emma enjoyed watching the races!

The Owen brothers cars.  Coop's is the maroon one and Charlie's is the yellow/maroon one.  Charlie's car had trouble making it to the finish line.  It didn't make it once.  He was a good sport though and would say, "I almost made it!"

The race track!

I wore the necklace with the scout emblem and the earrings that I received as a thank you from the Blue & Gold.

 Coop accepting his trophy!

And one last picture of the track.  It was pretty long!

Well.... just one more photo of Coop's new Tiger Badge

Beginning to feel like Spring!

The weather has been so nice.  We have been outside a lot! Lots of bike riding, digging and running around!  We were able to walk everyday this week!  Charlie had the week off for Conferences.  We got a great report!  He is doing very well.

Emma loves this green car from our neighbors that we got a couple of years ago!

The one picture I get with Charlie in it, I cut off his head.  He road his bike a couple times without the training wheels and can go so good with a little push.  But, can't get going on his own and wants the training wheels back on.  He is so close though!  Emma loves the bubble mower.  She says, "Bu Bu" everytime a bubble comes out.

Cooper started soccer last Thursday and plays his first game next Saturday.

We had a fun morning with the Putensen's target praciticing out at the farm.

Megan spent the afternoon deal shopping and getting our bountiful basket.  Free paint at Ace Hardware and free shirt from Old Navy!  We BBQ'd for dinner and then went to watch, "Down and Derby" with our Cub Scout Family.  It was a lot of fun!  They will be building their Pinewood Derby cars next weekend and racing them a week from Monday.

Our evening ended with Cooper loosing his second tooth.  Nate tied a string on the end of his tooth and then Cooper pulled.  We heard a little crack and he was able to get the rest out by wiggling it.  He was pretty excited!

Tip toed ever so quietly in the spare room (where the boys sleep on weekends), Charlie stirred so I ducked below the bed until all was quiet again.  Snuck a few coins into his tooth fairy pillow and snuck out. I'm sure it will be like Christmas in the morning. And yes, I remembered to take the tooth this time. LOL!
Not ready for the time change tonight. :(  But, excited to have more daylight in the evenings.
