Pictures from the holidays!

Nate, Coop and Emma went to the Community Church today to watch their Christmas Program.  We didn't make it to church today since Charlie still has Croup.  So instead of traveling to Pullman this morning they went to watch from friends in their program.

Thanks Nanni Vicki for the Gingerbread kit!

Cold, morning walk.
 Taking apart the crib!

She is loving the big girl bed!  Her naps have been incredibly long.

Yeags!

Charlie's gingerbread house he made at school. So happy he was able to make it.  He was sick with Croup for almost a week, but felt so much better to go to school.

Scout Night with the Chiefs!

Tonight Cooper and Nate ventured to Spokane to watch the Chiefs play.  This was Cooper's first hockey game.  We were all going to go and then Charlie came down with Croup so the rest of the family stayed home to rest.  Cooper sold over $1000 in popcorn for Cub Scouts.  He received a Chiefs package.  Tonight they were honored with their name posted on the reader board, read over the intercom, they got to walk out on the ice (which he didn't want to do), received two free tickets, a badge, and a hat.  We are so proud of our Cooper!  Thanks to all those who support Genesee Cub Scouts!

Teddy bear toss after the Chiefs scored their first goal!

Coop has been busy with scouts.  He is having a great time!  He just earned his bowling belt loop and will get his BB gun and Archery belt loop next Monday that he earned at Day Camp during the summer.  He got to do some sewing this past week.  :)  He was not too excited about that, but after his project was complete he wanted to do another one.  So, he must have enjoyed it.  He created a job chart and has to do a few chores everyday for a month.  He feeds Yeager and Oreo everyday.  It has been very helpful.  They have been learning about how to take care of the American Flag and how to lower and raise it and much more!  We love our Wolf Cub and are excited to see what he will be learning next.

Children's Program at Church

The Children's Programs are always so much fun to watch!  They all did a wonderful job!

All the children!

 Coop was a Shepard.

Here is a picture I got of Charlie during a practice run.  He was a King.

We captured a few more on video as well, but they were too large to upload. We love our church family so much!  Nate and I are also very excited to be going on the next mission trip to Guatemala a year from March.

Christmas Program at the School

We had a fun time watching both boys perform for the first time together in a school program.  They both did very well and had a good time.

And the third and final Santa for the year. Coop didn't want to go visit this one. :)

Santa Visit #2

The City of Genesee always has a fun evening with crafts, dinner, and Santa coming on the Firetruck to visit.  Thanks City of Genesee!  The kids had a great time!

 Here comes Santa!

Cooper came over giggling after telling me that Santa's pillow was falling out. It was hard not to giggle. He asked us a lot of questions. I think he is starting to figure it all out.

 LOL!

Craft time.  Coop made a Christmas chain to count down the days.

Trip home for Thanksgiving!

We went home this year for Thanksgiving.  It had been almost a year since all of us had gone home together.  We had a good time, except for the drive and when it was bedtime. :) The kids didn't sleep a wink all the way there or all the way home.  We spent a couple nights with Megan's family and a couple with Nate's. Megan had fun shopping, we spent some time with Aunt Patty and Uncle Bill visiting from California, went to the Botanical Gardens Garden-A-Glow, and Nic and Patrick were home for the holiday.  Enjoy the photos!

 Emma and Brooklyn.

We went to see Santa at the mall.  They didn't even get a candy cane. :(  They hand out little activity books now.

A fun game of spoons!

Thanksgiving dinner at Nate's parents.  Both moms have pictures of all of us on their cameras.

The tooth fairy made a visit while in Boise.

They all ended up in separate rooms. :)

Megan Passed her EMT Test!

I passed my test!  Wahoooo!  I am so excited!  It was the hardest test ever.  I walked out of there not confident at all.  It was a long 17 hours or so of waiting to find out if I passed!  I received a message and a text from my instructor the next morning!  It feels so good to be done.  I had awesome teachers and class mates that made this possible.  Thank you all!  I will continue to have fire training twice per month and EMS training once per month.  I carry a radio at all times and go on all calls when I am able to go.

And here are few more pictures:

Driving the Truck!

And this past Monday I went in my first live burn.  I was hesitant to go in, but then was really excited.  I went in with the first group.  We went in on our knees holding the persons leg in front.  When we got into the bin with the fire, it was warm, but not bad.  I am really glad I did it and I didn't even panic.  We have some pretty good people training us.

Watching the second group go in.  One time was enough for me. :)
