Our Friday!

We are so glad for the weekend to be here.  The kiddos had some fun in the snow after school today.

Nate, Cooper and Noah are headed up to Camp Lutherhaven this weekend for the Trailhead Grade School Retreat with Cooper's Kids Of Christ group from church.  I hope they have a wonderful weekend!

Charlie is such a good helper

As most of you know Nate will be headed to Guatemala in just 45 days with our mission team from church.  He is pretty excited!  He practices his Spanish every night before bed.  :)  This past Sunday was the annual Spaghetti Feed Fundraiser.  Charlie got to go this year and was such a good helper.  He loved being a waiter for the evening.  Thanks Charlie for helping out!

Cooper helped out last year, Charlie this year, maybe Emma next year?? :)

Cooper got 2nd place!

We are very proud of Cooper.  He got 2nd place today in the Elks Hoop Shoot Competition.  He made 17/25 free throws.  The boy who got 1st place made 18/25.  It was a good competition.  He received a basketball for 2st place and will go to districts if the 1st place boy can't make it.  Good job buddy!

He held it together pretty well.  He wanted 1st place so bad.  But, he was sure excited he was able to make it to his basketball game in time today.  Mackenzie, his friend won first place for the girls and will head to districts next weekend.  Congratulations Mac!

Elk's Hoop Shoot Competition

Cooper qualified to represent Genesee at this years Moscow Elks Hoop Shoot for the boys 8-9 year olds.  He will compete tomorrow morning in Moscow. Winners from each division will be invited to compete in the district competition on February 1st in Lewiston. We are very proud of him for his hard work.

Here he is practicing today with his friend Mackenzie who will be representing the girls.  Thanks to Doug for helping them practice leading up to this competition.  He is pretty excited!  Best of luck to everyone participating tomorrow!

Basketball has started!

Saturday ball in Genesee started a couple weeks ago.  The boys are having a good time. This is Charlie's first time and it is pretty new to him.  Coop is getting the hang of it pretty well.  Nate is also coaching the 3rd-4th grade Moscow Parks and Rec team, so Coop get to play on a couple teams.  Those games begin towards the end of January.

Emma enjoyed hanging out with Nate while he coached Cooper's team. Nate is also helping coach the Sat ball.

Coop's dribbling has really improved.

He scores!

Charlie dribbling and Violet scoring!

Almost!  Charlie was so excited he scored in his first game and I missed it.  Coop and Char were both playing at the same time, so I ran over to catch a few minutes of Coop's game and missed his basket.

We attended a University of Idaho game where the readers as leaders were recognized.  The boys are out there somewhere. :)  They are on their way to reading 10 hrs for this program.

These two always have a good time. :)

New Year's

Megan surprised us all with the idea of going to Boise and then Hailey for a few days before New Year's.  We had a great time!  We spent the first day in Boise taking the boys skiing up at Bogus.   Emma hung out with Nonni and Boppi Stalling for the day.

On our way to Bogus!  We told the boys it was going to be about an hour drive, but they wanted to be all bundled up and ready to go.

After just a few times on the bunny hill, these boys were ready to go up the mountain.

By the end of the day these boys could go down a pretty steep hill.

Coop's first time up the slope.

And right back out again.  We can't wait to go again!

 Time for ice cream!

There were ice sculptures all over!

Emma passed out in the car from Sun Valley Back to Beth's and slept for a couple hours.

 Dinner at Beth's.

Time for some games.  Emma was taking photos.

 Nate didn't feel well :(
