Swimming Lessons

The boys starting swimming lessons this week!

Charlie surrounded by girls. There was another boys in his class this morning.  :)

Cooper is in the lap pool this summer and it is a lot colder than the pool Charlie is in.  Cooper was so excited when he could touch.

His new buddy.  Two boys in his class yesterday and the other boys name just happened to be Cooper. So funny!

Soccer Camp

For the third week of summer, the boys are going to soccer camp.  They are really enjoying it!  I was worried because it runs from 9:30-12.  They get served lunch everyday.  Charlie's age group mainly does soccer games and Cooper's age group does drills and plays games.  Cooper loves this sport.  They are meeting new friends.  Emma and I have had a lot of time to spend together.

They are looking so grown up.

Emma and I stayed to watch the first day.  It was freezing!

 Lunch time!

The second day Emma and I ran errands.  We stopped by Petco because she loves the animals.  She wanted to bring this cat home to Oreo.  She blew kisses to it when we had to leave.

A snake!  She isn't too sure about this one. LOL!

The third day we met Cameron and Jen at Pioneer Park!

She didn't like the fountain, but she finally posed for a picture.

Cameron was soaked.  He loved it!

Tomorrow we will stay to watch the boys for their last day.

Father's Day

Nate had a nice Father's Day!  The boys made a scavenger hunt for him in the morning before church.  Nate has been making scavenger hunts for the boys before work and they love them so they thought they would make dad one.  At the end were three glass jars that looked like mushrooms filled with candy.  The card said, "Dad you're a fungi."  LOL!  We then went to church, NY Johnny's for lunch, relaxed in the afternoon, and then took Beth and Linda over to White Springs Ranch.  Linda planned a wonderful dinner for Nate.  Thank you Aunt Linda!  We ended the evening watching Bridemaids and it was hilarious!

The boys taking dad around as he does the scavenger hunt.

The red card read, "Dad you're a real fungi."  The white paper said, "You are my dad, I love you."

Nate finding the mushrooms.

We finally got us some NY Johnny's.  YUM!

VBS and Cub Scout Camp

Last week the boys attended Vacation Bible School, Coop went to two days of Cub Scout Day Camp, and Beth and Linda came to visit!

Last day singing on the lawn! Slip n slide was a blast as always!  Thanks to all who helped with VBS this year!  God is amazing!  We have been hearing the wonderful songs all week.

Each of us is a Flower Growing in God's Garden!

Charlie and Emma wanted to have their own camp experience at home while Coop went to Camp Grizzly.  So they made a fire

and.....

loaded and shot BB guns.  Nathan!

They built a volcano the first day, decorated it the second, and then watched it be set off at the end of the second day.

Ian, Cooper, & Eric day 1 of Cub Scout camp

Eric and Ian learning how to start a fire.

One of Cooper's favorite things to do at camp!  His first time using a Bow.

 This bridge was awesome!

The next favorite was the BB guns!

Bottle Rocket fun!

Collecting branches for the shelter they were building.

Building a took box.

The flag the boys made the first day!

The last day at the end of the day, all the troops did a song or skit.  This was one of my favorite parts to watch.  The scouts did such a good job.  Cooper's group did, "Alex the Camel had 13 humps....

Headed home.  Nate and Jeff went the first day and Maria, Beth and myself went the second.  Aunt
Linda came over to meet us during lunch one day which was fun.  Her retreat center was 6 miles from Camp Grizzly.  It was a fun experience.  We were exhausted!

Emma got her staples out tonight!

She is such a tough little girl!  Last weekend the boys were climbing the lilac tree and Emma was at the bottom.  Charlie was coming down, kicked Emma, she fell back and hit her head on a rock.  I thought she had hit her face because there was blood around her face.  Coop yelled the back of her head was bleeding.  Then panic mode set in. I called Carly and asked "can you get over here now?"  and she rushed right over.  Thank God for her!  She took my boys and Emma and I were off to Gritman.  Nate was at a bachelor party in Lewiston and they only had one car so he couldn't easily come to the hospital.  She received two staples and did very well.  It has healed wonderfully.  We went to Gritman today after fishing and they took them out.  Nate went back with her and she didn't even cry.  She said, "Owe" when they were out.

Her two staples.  :(

The night after she received the staples.  It took a long time for her to fall asleep.  She would lay on me, turn on her side and so on.  Nate cradled her while she slept as soon as he got home.

Thank you Stutzman's for watching our boys for the evening, feeding us, and making me a drink.  We appreciate it so much!  Thank you to the Ramos family for bringing us dinner, home made cards for Emma and a picked flower from Evie.  It was very sweet!

Genesee Community Day

I think we just had the coldest Community Day since we moved to Genesee almost eight years ago.  Brrr!!!  It was windy, rainy, and cold.  Brian and Nicole came up from Boise to spend the weekend with us.  Brian and Nate ran the 5 mile.  It started to rain as soon as the race began.  They made it!

Getting ready for the race!  We had to go stay warm in the car after they took off.

 There goes Brian!

 Way to go guys!

The boys participated in the kiddie parade.  They were supposed to decorate with their favorite subject.  Coop had flashcards all over his bike because he loves math and Charlie wore his superman cape because he loves to dress up. :)  Nate and Cooper were in the main parade with the cub scouts.

 She was so excited!

They loved waving at everyone.  Coop was pretty bummed he didn't get to get any candy, but we had  a lot to share with him.  They were near the back and let all those other floats go twice before getting to them.  :(
We ate in the park after in the rain/cold.  Bouncy house fundraiser was canceled due to rain.  However, we still ran the dunk tank for 1.5 hrs.  Crazy!  Yes, we know!  Nate, Kip, and myself got up there.  Kip took one for the group.  Nate and I lucked out and didn't get dunked.

We spent the afternoon relaxing, all the kids got a good 3 hr nap, and Nate took B and Nicole out to the farm to shoot.  We went to the dinner at the fire hall with the Johnson's and then to watch the comedian and music in the park.  Spend some girl time at Carly's and then watched fireworks with Putensen's.  What a fun day!

B and Nicole left this morning and we decided to go to Spring Valley Reservoir to do some fishing.  It was a perfect cloudy day to go.  The sun did shine a little bit.  Putensen's came with us and we had a great time!

 Charlie's fish

They had so much fun fishing for four hours!

 Walter fishing!

 Cute Everett!
