Owen Farm

Well the Owen farm is growing. We adopted two of Tiff and Derek's chickens. They are moving and we are heartbroken about it. We are currently up to six chickens now. I let them all out in the yard, as we often do, and they were next to the road in no time. So here I was, running around the yard and next to the road trying to get all the chickens back in their gated area. We have some training to do with those two new ones. They are sure cute and stay together wherever they go. Thanks so much Tiff and Derek! We have made a flyer and are going to try and sell some of the eggs with the proceeds going towards the boys college funds.

Three Day Weekend

We had a wonderful three day weekend together. Nate had to work today, President's Day, but he took last Friday off. We hit off the weekend by going to Spokane, Washington. Nate checked out some guitars. Let me remind you all we live in a really small town, so shopping in Spokane is amazing. Nate was in love. Then we headed to the Spokane Arena to see Playhouse Disney Live. The kids loved it. More Charlie than Cooper. He just danced and danced. It was a lot of fun.

On Valentine's Day we did some yard work, the most we could with all the snow we still have. It was the crab feed here in Genesee. It was soooo good! We enjoyed hanging out with our friends and eating crab down at the Fire Hall. Cooper had his first Valentine's Day party at school on Thursday. He had a fabulous time. He wrote his name on 23 Valentine cards for his friends and teachers. He had a great time as well as Charlie, mom and dad.

Sunday we became Godparents for the first time to Gabe Mayer. It was a wonderful day!

Today Cooper went to the Dentist. He did wonderful! He got x-rays, had no cavities, let the doctor check his teeth out and floss him. When it was time for the polish, he didn't like that too much. They got about half way and he really started fighting it. They finished with the flouride and he got a sticker. Charlie really wanted a turn. :) Sorry Charlie, but you need a few more teeth first.

Trip to Boise

Megan took the boys to Boise to see her good friend Jenny, who was home for a visit from China. We had a great time visiting, catching up, and going out for lunch. Unfortunately Cooper got a cold right before we left and was not feeling good at all that day. He had a fever for about 8 hours. It was horrible. Then Charlie got it, and mom ended up with a stuffy nose. Everyone is doing better. We enjoyed seeing grandparents and Uncles and snuggling with them. Nate had a good time while we were gone hanging out with friends and going to an 80's party. We missed daddy a ton and are glad to be home.

Surprise Visit

We were so excited to receive a surprise visit from Nanni Vicki a couple weeks ago . It was like Christmas all over again. The boys were so excited to get guitars like there daddy. We had a wonderful weekend together.
Megan is off to Boise to visit all the grandparents and her best friend Jenny this week, who is home visiting from China. Dad has to stay behind to work. Darn it. The boys are very excited for a trip. Cooper will be starting his third week at preschool. He loves to go everyday. He has a blast. He enjoys seeing all his friends after his month break. We are having a break from the winter weather, which has been very nice. Although last week it was -19 one morning when we woke up. We were all warm and snuggy though.
