Baseball has come to an end

We have been watching ball games since March!  We are ready for a few weeks off.  Cooper started Cal Ripken in March, Charlie started pitching machine in June and Emma started T-ball when Charlie started.  They all did well and had a great time!  Emma had a hard time at the beginning of each game, but after a pep talk from Coach Al she was good to go!

Team photo since we forgot to get one!

And everyone else! Fun swim party while it lasted until the storm hit.

Cal Ripken

Very nice thank you gift for helping coach!  Thank you friends!

The kiddos also took some swimming lessons this summer.  Emma didn't enjoy it too much, but made it through and was more comfortable by the end.

A few weeks off until Cooper starts Club Soccer and Charlie begins another year of Parks & Rec Soccer.

4-H Adventures

We are having so much fun with Cooper's 4-H project.  He wanted to take a pig, so we have two pigs!  They are so much fun!  They are just like dogs and wag their little tails, come right up to the fence and want you to pet them, they love to run under the water and roll in the mud, and race around in circles.  They are growing very well!  Here are a few pictures:

 So cute, tiny and noisy!

Going in to pick out his pig.

 Aren't they the cutest?

They loved going out that tiny side chicken door.  We had to close it off shortly after we got them.

 And sleeping there. :)

They love the water!

Working on their pig cutting boards.

Yeags used to have fun scaring them, but they aren't too scared of him anymore.

I was trying to catch her under the water and she caught me and started coming for me.

Today we had a great opportunity to go help make lentil bag samples for the USA Dry Pea & Lentil Council for their marketing program.  Cooper, Emma, and I filled 221 bags!

Emma handed Cooper the bags.

Cooper filled the bags and then I sealed them.  Then we switched positions half way through.

 One box of 80 bags!

Look at all those lentils!

And at the end of the day a boy and his dog who is so scared after all these storms we are having.
