Sunday night in the Owen Household!

Emma and daddy dancing to some good old Irish music.

And the boys joining in after their bath.

Soccer has Started!

Soccer has started and the boys had a great first week. Charlie did amazingly well. We don't think we have ever seen him run so long. He played out on the field the whole time it was his turn out there. He caught onto how to play the game very quickly. At the beginning he did start kicking the ball in the wrong direction. We yelled to turn around and so he did and ran towards the other goal, but left the ball. LOL! They are so much fun to watch! His next game is tomorrow night.

Charlie and Coop posing before Charlie's game. Coop wanted to dress in his last years jersey.

They are so little!

Coop had practice Thursday night and his first game yesterday. They have four players on the field this year together playing. They are also learning positions. His team, "The Genesee Ducks" played a great game yesterday! He had a good time and got a wonderful workout. :) We love watching these boys play sports.

Cooper after his 45 minute game. Four minutes in four minutes out. Lots of running! He is excited to have his last name on the back of his jersey this year.

Cooper Received His Immediate Recognition Emblem!

Cooper has been having a great time in Cub Scouts. They had another outing yesterday to White Springs Ranch Museum here in Genesee. It was our first time. There is so much history there and the boys and their families had a great time. The boys received their Immediate Recognition Emblem. He received a white bead for completing his family activity, which involved helping dad clean the entire house before I came home from Women of Faith. They did a fabulous job! He received two black beads for his go see its to the Fire Department and to the White Springs Ranch Museum. He received one orange bead for his scrapbook activity he made at his den meeting. Once he receives five of each bead, he will have earned his Tiger Rank. He is having a good time an enjoys hanging out with his buddies. He will earn his bobcat badge tomorrow night at his pack meeting for completing his bobcat requirement. We are very proud of him!

Charlie started Preschool today!

Our boys are getting so grown up. Today was Charlie's first day of preschool. He wasn't too sure when he woke up about going. He just wanted to snuggle in bed with mom. After breakfast and getting dressed he told us he was ready to go. :) He LOVED having daddy time and driving with dad to preschool. They saw two jets and some kind of bird. He had a great time at preschool and ran right to me when he saw I was there to give me a great big hug. I love that part! He painted, played outside, dressed up (Yes, he found the princess dresses), stenciled, sang songs, read, had Jesus time and came home with a marble he found in the sandbox. He can't wait to go back on Friday!

Outing with friends!

Yesterday we took a day trip to Coeur d' Alene and Spokane with the Putensen's. We had a great time! Dave and Nate got to go bottle gin at Dry Fly Distilling. They had a lot of fun and learned a few things. Tamra and I decided to go. We drove separately and hit a couple parks, Coeur d' Alene Lake, went to Target and then met up with the boys. We went to another park, played in the water and ate out again. :)

Cooper started 1st grade!

Cooper started first grade last Weds. He had a fun week. He was very tired from going all day to school. His favorite part has been recess and lunch. :) He has already started getting math homework and enjoys that, but says it isn't hard enough. We told him he is just getting started. He enjoys hanging out with his friends again.

Of course mom has to get a first day of school picture.

And one with the backpack. He was so excited!
Emma loves picking coop up from the bus stop. She wants Coop to hold her all the way home. She just giggles. Charlie didn't miss Coop in the beginning, but before nap he kept asking when he would be home. He said, "That is a long time." He is happy to see him after school.

Waiting at the bus stop. It was is the mid 40s the first day. It was freezing.

And I did try to get a picture of him getting on the bus, but I told myself I don't need to take my camera to the bus stop. Well I whipped out my phone and it was too late. He is next to the window in the second row. No tears, but watching him get off the bus and walk to me, I had a few.

Charlie doesn't start school until this Weds., however we did get to go to orientation this last week and he LOVED it. Below are a few pictures of him at his school.

Charlie is walking to the Concordia Lutheran Preschool.

At circle time during the parent meeting.

Charlie at his cubby. Yes, he found a wand.

Making cupcakes out of play dough.

He can't wait to go back to school!

And after dropping daddy back off at work, we stopped to see the bears before going home.

Emma is not a fan of these bears either. The baby bears have gotten so big since the last time we were there.

Emma is WALKING!

YAY!!! Emma has just started walking all over. She will be 19 months on the September 10th. She is in the 2% for weight, weighing 19lbs 11ozs and 4% for height, at 29.5 inches.

.

She also loves to push her baby around the downstairs.

Singing and playing the piano while big brother is at school.

And some time hanging out with friends.

Is that a bear?

Ahhhhh

End of the summer

We decided to end summer off with a trip to the Aquatic Center. It was our first trip and last this summer. We were thankful for the 90 degree weather. We went with friends and had a great time!
We even got a recent family photo. Emma is still not a water fan, but she would sit on my lap and get a little wet and splash around.
