Charlie turns 7 and Emma's last day of preschool!

Today is Charlie's 7th birthday!  He was so excited when he awoke and saw the house decorated just for him.  We filled his room with balloons, decorated the door and kitchen with streamers, had more balloons in the dining room and all of his gifts.  It is becoming a tradition to open presents before school.  He loved them all!  He took donuts to school to celebrate with his friends.

Maybe this year Charlie will loose a tooth!  None of them have wanted to come out yet. :)

Today was also Emma's last day of preschool at Concordia Lutheran in Pullman.  Oh how we will miss it!  I have loved taking my kids there, what a great preschool with wonderful teachers.  Emma is excited that her summer vacation has started.

Yum!

And a couple pics from her closing ceremony....

Notice the star with no one standing on it? Yup, that is Emma's star.  She got so nervous and scared when it was time to go up and sing her songs.  You can see part of her dress in front of the right pew next to Mrs. Barrington.  I was so sad, but she tapped her feet along with the music.

Mrs. Krantz recognizing friends moving away.

The amazing teachers and volunteers.  We are blessed!

She went up for the benediction.  :)

Ahhh we love you Mrs. Krantz.  We are so blessed to have had you as a teacher.

And Mrs. Barrington is wonderful.  She taught both Emma and Charlie.

Mrs. Eld filled in when Mrs. Krantz and Mrs. Barrington needed help.  Thank you Heidi!

Scouting for Food

These scouts and families are amazing!  We went around Genesee for a couple hours last weekend and collected food for the Genesee Food Bank!  Thank you Genesee and everyone who helped out!

Megan got accepted into Nursing School!

Darn it! I can't get this to rotate.  I rotated and saved it, but it is still showing up sideways.  Megan is so excited and we are all very happy for her!  It will be hard, but we will get through it.  Megan starts school at the end of September.  Emma is transferring to Genesee Elementary and is excited to go to the same school as her brothers.  She saw her classroom and met her new teacher this week.  Emma will be with our good friend Carly (Thank you so much Carly) in the mornings a few days a week and then she will go to afternoon preschool five days a week. It will be an adjustment.  So far the schedule is wonderful!  Megan will be in school from 9-12 three days a week and can make it home to get Emma to preschool and pick all the kids up after school.  YAY!

Sports

Cooper is about half way through this season of Cal Ripken and is doing great!  All three started swimming lessons last Saturday.  We took last year so it was time to get back to it.

All ready to go!

Not too sure about this.

Blowing bubbles.  After a little bit in the shallow end she got to go to the deep end.  There were quite a few tears when it came to face in water or going under.  She did not want to participate.

Boys Spring Programs

It is that time of the year when the kiddos have their Spring Programs.  Nate's parents were able to attend them this year.  The boys were so cute!  They got to do some country dancing this year.  They were adorable!

Coop Swing Dancing

Charlie Line Dancing

Emma let mom put her hair up in a ponytail.  First time ever!

There was a sock hop at the end of the night.

The singing was great and the art work is always fun to look at.

Mother's Day Weekend

I had a very nice Mother's Day Weekend!  I got to go up to see "Wicked" in Spokane with the girls!  Such a good show.  The set was amazing, the singing, and props.  Such a fun time!  The boys had an outing to the Lewiston Tribune for Cub Scouts and then they went to buy a bunch of wood.  Nate started on a portable chicken Coop that we can move around the pasture.  It is beautiful!  He has done such a great job!  Just a few shingles left to put on the roof.  The babies are loving their new home.

The boys loved the old typewriters.

So fun!  I saw "Wicked" when I went to NYC about 4.5 years ago.  I was five months pregnant at the time with Emma and exhausted from going non stop.  It was fun to see it again.

Lunch at the European restaurant after a wonderful church service.

And Nate's project......

Charlie had a special opportunity to watch chickens be born.  They had a bunch in an incubator in his classroom and when it was time for them to find a home he got to bring home a few.

We love them and I think they are pretty cozy in their new home!  Thanks Mr.s Kappus!
