Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day!  It was a very busy day.  We started our day with gifts.  I received an apron and card from Cooper and a special edition magazine from Charlie.  They were very sweet gifts.  Nate told said, "Happy Mother's Day" when we woke up. :) We then got ready and headed to church.  We spent the morning with our church family, ate lunch at "The Pantry,"  bought some flowers and veggie plants and then headed home.  The boys then wanted to take me to Hells Gate for the afternoon/evening.  And that is what we did!

Showing Coop how a gold pan works that he got for his birthday.

 The water was ice cold!

We ran into some Genesee friends while there.

Not sure why this is sideways.  It shows up straight in the program. Hmmm...

Nate did bring me flowers the day after. LOL!  Thanks for a wonderful Mother's Day!

Let's play ball!

Our household has been hit by a couple different bugs and let me tell you it has not been fun.  All three kids had the flu bug.  About a week later the fever/chest cold hit.  Charlie got it first and was out of school for three days.  Then Cooper was home a day and is going on his third day of fever.  :( Emma has yet to get this one, but I am sure it is coming.  Coop has missed a couple of baseball games.  He is learning quite a bit in Cal Ripken.  He has been told they are going to start pitching him and he is super nervous.  And then it just happened he got sick.  Here are a few pictures and videos of him playing.

 Warming up.

 Playing third base.

Walked

 Stealing to second base.

Stealing to third base.

And he is safe!  He didn't slide into home, but hopefully will next time.  :)

Practicing pitching.

Just a couple weeks left in the season.  Charlie starts pitching machine next week.  Nate will be coaching his team.

Last weekend of April!

Friday night fun for Nate, Charlie and Emma.  Cooper had a headache and so him and Megan stayed home and slept. :)

 Emma, Charlie and JoJo

Cute! They had fun looking for frogs and touching them.

Thanks Osborn's for a fun evening!

Yesterday we went to the 23rd Annual Kid's Fishing Clinic at Hordemann Pond in Moscow.  Megan knew most of the people working it because she was part of Kiwanis when we first moved up here to Genesee.  The kids had fun!  We bought Cooper a bigger pole, but it was kind of hard to use because there were so many people fishing.   Cooper also earned his fishing belt loop for cub scouts.  Great job Coop!

Charlie caught a trout! He really didn't want to touch it.

 Father and daughter fishing.

Showing off Charlie's fish, which is cut up and in the fridge waiting to be cooked.

After fishing, Megan and the boys went home and headed to Bountiful Baskets.  Nate and Emma went to help set up for the Guatemala spaghetti feed fundraiser that was held this evening.  Megan is home with a sick Emma, but she is feeling a ton better.

Cooper was a good helper today.

Auction item won.  Nate is in big trouble!

Andrew's came for a visit

Last week Uncle John and Aunt Linda came to visit.  They came up on a Saturday and then Linda went to a quilt camp on Saturday. Nate took the whole week off.  Uncle John and Nate fished and went turkey hunting all week!  They had a good time.  We always enjoy seeing them!  Thanks for the birthday gifts for Coop!  And thanks for coming to visit!

Playing some hello kitty bingo with Aunt Linda.

Then the boys jumped in to play.  Cooper ran as soon as I took the camera out. :)

Bike wreck. :( Charlie is healing very nicely.

Surprised Coop by taking him out of school early to go do some fishing.

Waiting at the wrong dock for her turn.  Thanks Nate! :)

All ready to go! Coop had to make a straight face for the picture, but he was all smiles.

And they are off while mom heads to lab.

Greg do you remember the life jacket on the left??

Nate's first steel head!  LOL!

While Uncle John was here, Coop had his first Cal Ripken game.  I was able to capture a couple pictures.  Quite the change from pitching machine.

 Check out that outfit!

Real dug outs! Coop's leaning against the fence.

And one evening Megan took the kids to the Schumaker's to celebrate Cameron's 2nd Birthday.

 The kids loved the sheep!

Happy Birthday Cameron!  Thanks for having us over to celebrate! It was good to see you all!

Cooper turned 8!

It is hard to believe that this little boy is now eight years old.  Cooper celebrated by taking some treats to school, having soccer practice and then dinner/cake with our family.  Friday we had a birthday celebration for him at the Clarkston Aquatic Center.  He had a great time!  Thanks for all the cards, gifts, and helping us celebrate this boy turn 8.

A little target practice before school!

 Yum!

Happy Birthday Coop!
