Mother's Day Weekend

I had a very nice Mother's Day Weekend!  I got to go up to see "Wicked" in Spokane with the girls!  Such a good show.  The set was amazing, the singing, and props.  Such a fun time!  The boys had an outing to the Lewiston Tribune for Cub Scouts and then they went to buy a bunch of wood.  Nate started on a portable chicken Coop that we can move around the pasture.  It is beautiful!  He has done such a great job!  Just a few shingles left to put on the roof.  The babies are loving their new home.

The boys loved the old typewriters.

So fun!  I saw "Wicked" when I went to NYC about 4.5 years ago.  I was five months pregnant at the time with Emma and exhausted from going non stop.  It was fun to see it again.

Lunch at the European restaurant after a wonderful church service.

And Nate's project......

Charlie had a special opportunity to watch chickens be born.  They had a bunch in an incubator in his classroom and when it was time for them to find a home he got to bring home a few.

We love them and I think they are pretty cozy in their new home!  Thanks Mr.s Kappus!

May Day

I love May Day!  It has always been a tradition in Megan's family to pick flowers on the first of May, set that near the front door, knock and run!  The kids have a lot of fun doing this.  Cooper remembered, then Charlie did it, and then they showed Emma.  So much fun!

 Trying to hide. :)

Love these sweet kiddos!

The Cal Ripken season has begun!

Coop is in his second year of Cal Ripken.  They are doing great!  They are 2-2.  They were so excited to win.  They didn't win a game last year which was hard.  But, even the coaches were jumping in the air when they won.  It was pretty fun to watch.  Cooper is pitching, playing first and short.  We are excited to watch the rest of his season.

Charlie is signed up for pitching machine which starts here in a couple weeks and Emma is signed up for T-ball.

Coeur d' Alene EMS Conference

Megan had a wonderful opportunity to go to an EMS conference with a couple ladies from the Genesee Fire Department.  It was a great conference!  She learned about the Joplin tornadoes and all that went on with that, mass casualty shootings, got to attend a live cadaver /Anatomy session, domestic violence session, learned all about ChemPacks, Wilderness Medicine, and much more! They got to stay at the Coeur D' Alene resort and even go on a boat cruise one evening.  Thanks to the Genesee Fire Department for sending them to this conference!

I took this picture for the kiddos.  So cool!

So fun!

And while I was gone Nate worked and worked!

He started sprinklers.  We currently have 15 installed.  We are on zone 4 and 5.  This is hard work!

And a raised bed!  I had no idea!  Thank hunny!

Easter

We had a very nice Easter.  We missed being with family, but we celebrated with our church family which is just as good!  We went to brunch at church, followed by worship.  On our way to brunch, Megan found some pretty trees, so we turned around for some quick photos.

Coop took Emma's basket into her.  She was excited!  This is the year Cooper learned that mom and dad are the Easter bunny.  :(  He asked if we put the things on the table and we explained it to him.  It was very hard to not tell his siblings, but he didn't want to ruin it for them yet.

Dying Eggs!  Cooper did not want to partake this year.  He's getting so big!

What a beautiful day it was!  The Lord is Risen!

Cooper is 9 years old!

Cooper turned 9 last month!  He is growing up so fast!  Since his birthday fell on a week night, we celebrated before school and after baseball practice.  He got to celebrate with some friends over the weekend!  Nine is a fun age, but also very challenging.  Cooper wants so much to be independent and gets very upset when he does not get his way and the attitude!  I thought that started in the teens.  :)  Cooper continues to do well in school and he is enjoying Cal Ripken baseball.

Coop wanted new Cowboy boots.  We found him a shirt too!

It is rodeo time!  It was in the 60s, but very windy.  I wish we could have gotten a picture of all these young cowboys in their outfits.  Pretty cute!

 Emma loved these boys!

 Oh Charlie! :)

Happy Birthday Cooper!!
